Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Bantamweight champion Eva Cecilia Santoscoy is set to face compatriot Guadalupe Flores Garcia for the vacant UBO world Bantamweight title.

On October 18 at the Gimnasio Nazario Ortiz in Santoscoy´s home-town of Saltillo, Mexico, the fight will headline “Knockout Fest 2025”, presented by the local Basketball club Racers Saltillo.

La Artillera” Santoscoy (11-9, 7 KOs), a former Mexico national and WBC regional champion, won the UBO International title in her most recent fight, when she out-scored former world title-challenger Kandy Sandoval last March.

She has since been focused on getting an opportunity to become world champion, and things have now come together and made it possible against Flores Garcia.

Only nineteen years old, “Lupita” Flores Garcia from Hidalgo was a stand-out on the Mexican amateur scene, winning numerous tournaments, including two Golden Gloves titles.

She entered the pro ranks in February of 2024, and has compiled a 5-2 record. Her losses came on points against good opponents, but in Santoscoy she will face her most accomplished and experienced foe to date.

Will experience or youth prevail? Time will tell, but only one can achieve her dream of becoming world champion on October 18.
