Newly crowned Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Super Lightweight champion Jitender Thakur is the UBO Boxer of the Month for September 2025.

  
 

Thakur, from Kullu, India, accepted on short notice to fight Aidos Tastayev for the UBO title on September 20 in Uzbekistan.

While it was a close fight, it was Thakur who impressed the judges most as he was declared the winner by majority decision.

A remarkable achievement, and with a record of 10-1 (4) the 28-year-old put himself in line for more big fights in the future.
