UBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight champion Francesco Lezzi from Italy is preparing to make the first defense of his title in November.

Lezzi (16-21-3, 3 KOs) has been sparring with UBO Youth World Middleweight titlist Giovanni Rosetti (10-1, 3 KOs), and is expected to take on a tough challenger.

The 33-year-old from Bari, who is a a former IBF Youth World Champion and much better than his record suggests, won the UBO title last May with a close but unanimous decision over Valerio Mazzulla.

Another Italian UBO champion will return to action on October 9, when International Light Heavyweight king Giovanni Carpentierri (14-4-3, 4 KOs) takes on an opponent to be decided in a non-title bout.

On the same card will be the return of Mirko Geografo (17-1-1) who was scheduled to fight for the UBO World Welterweight title earlier this year, but had to pull out due to injury.

The following day, October 10, former UBO International Heavyweight champion, and two-time UBO world title-challenger, Roman Golovachenko (21-5, 19 KOs) returns to Cruiserweight where he fights dangerous Bosnian Edin Puhalo (21-1, 20 KOs).
