Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Flyweight champion Eldin Guinahon from the Philippines has the looks and talent to be a star. Certainly in his home country, if not on a wider scale.

Still only twenty-three years old, he has put together an unblemished 9-0 record, and showed he has significant power by stopping eight of his foes.

They call him “Golden Boy”, a ring-name which brings a certain amount of pressure and expectations, but it is also a moniker usually only given to boxers who has something special.

Promoted by Marban Boxing, Guinahon turned professional in October of 2019, and already in his seventh outing he made an impression by stopping former WBC Youth world champion Dexter Alimento in nine rounds.

Two months later, in August of 2022, he won the UBO International title when he went the distance for the first time against the tough and experienced Mike Kinaadman.

While he couldn't continue his knockout-streak, he floored Kinaadman in the fourth round and went on to register a convincing unanimous decision (98-91, 98-91, 97-92).

Guinahon probably learnt more by going ten rounds with Kinaadman than in his other eight fights combined, and the win earned him recognition as the 2022 UBO Prospect of the Year!

In his most recent bout, last December, he was back to being destructive when he got rid of former WBC world title-challenger Jeffrey Galero in one round.

News of his next fight is still pending, but he will almost certainly show off his great potential again when he steps through the ropes for professional fight number ten.
