The vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Female World Lightweight title will be on the line, when Czarina McCoy fights Paulina Cardona on September 24 at Plaza Sendera in Colima, Mexico.

21-year-old southpaw McCoy (9-1, 2 KOs), from Las Vegas, has fought exclusively in Mexico as a pro, and won WIBA Youth and American Boxing Federation (ABF) Continenal Americas titles.

Colombia´s Cardona (32) brings a deceiving 25-27-7 (11) record to the fight, but has proven herself at a high level time and time again, despite not being able to win a world title yet.

Just this past March, also in Mexico, she lost a decision to Frenchman Prisca Vicot for the WIBF and GBU World Super Lightweight titles.

While it will be McCoy´s fourth title fight, Cardona has challenged for no less than seven world titles between Light Flyweight and Super Lightweight, and she will be determined to finally take the last step and emerge victorious.

The Black Rose” vs. “La Nina”, youth vs. experience, the McCoy vs. Cardona UBO World Lightweight title fight on September 24 will be promoted by Rios Boxing Promotions.
