Punch Up Boxing presents
championship boxing at The
Icehouse in Neuwied, Germany on
May 8, when undefeated
22-year-old Hizni Altunkaya,
9-0, 3 KOs, fights for the
Universal Boxing Organization
Youth World Cruiserweight title
against an opponent to be
announced.
Altunkaya turned professional in
October 2008, and scored seven
straight victories in 12 months
before challenging for his first
professional title this past
January. In a bout for the GBC
Youth title, he beat former
German champion Silvio Meinel
(12-3-1) on a close decision, so
he already has championship
experience when he goes for the
UBO title.
In his last bout, on March 6,
the Turkish-born Altunkaya
scored a wide decision over
journeyman Sebastian Tuchscherer
to set up his big “homecoming
clash” in May. This will only be
the third time he fights in
hometown Neuwied as a
professional, and he can rely on
extraordinary support from his
enthusiastic fans, friends and
family at ringside. |

“Altunkaya is a very promising
young boxer, and the UBO will be
proud to crown him as one of our
champions should he defeat his
opponent on May 8. I am sure
that no matter what result we
get, it will be a fantastic
night of boxing, and I have no
doubt that it will be very hot
at The Icehouse”, said UBO
President Joerg Herzog.
Punch Up Boxing is hoping to be
able to announce who will be in
the opposite corner of Altunkaya
inside the next few weeks.
