The first defense of Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Welterweight champion Marcial “Chay” Carrion will take place on October 10 in his home-town of Iquique, Chile.

At the Arena Cavancha, Carrion (22-1, 6 KOs), the twin-brother of UBO World Super Lightweight ruler Patricio Carrion, will face Bolivian challenger Fernando “El Gallito” Sanchez Sulzer (12-2, 1 NC, 6 KOs).

A big crowd is expected at the outdoor stadium located directly on Cavancha Beach, as TC2 Boxing, the event´s promoter, is rewarding the loyal following of Carrion with free admission.

Having won the UBO World title last June with a thrilling and hard-fought decision over Argentinian Tomas Fermin Irusta, local boxing fans will be queueing up to watch Carrion again.

Sanchez Sulzer is a considerable underdog, but the 27-year-old from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is coming off three stoppage wins and has nothing to lose and everything to gain, making him a dangerous proposition.

He knows this is an opportunity of a life-time, and will undoubtedly do all he can to silence the crowd, cause an upset and bring the UBO world title home to Bolivia.
