Portuguese power-house Octavio Pudivitr scored the biggest win of his career, and won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Cruiserweight title on Saturday, June 28, at the Pavilhao Municipal in Fanzeres, Portugal.

Pudivitr, who is a former UBO world Light Heavyweight champion, and entered the fight as the WBC Latino Cruiserweight champion, defeated Argentinian Ruben Eduardo Acosta with a statement-like third round stoppage.

Pudivitr, born in Mozambique, floored Acosta once in round two and twice in round three, sending the veteran down a final time with a flurry of punches. Acosta tried all he could to keep the aggressive Pudivitr at bay, but to no avail.

Suitably nicknamed “Tank”, Pudivitr won his sixth straight fight inside the distance since moving up to Cruiserweight, and improved his professional record to 15-2 (10).

Acosta, a former Argentinian, WBO Latino, South American and WBO NABO champion, had won his last four outings but travels home at 42-19-5 (15).

The fight was the main event of Gandomar Fight Night 2025, promoted by Arena Matosinhos.
