Arguably the
top prospect in Malaysia, 20-year-old Hazman
Siew, went into his first championship fight in
only his fourth outing, facing much more
experienced Thai co-challenger Phollawat
Nanthaekkaphong for the vacant UBO Continental
(Asia) Featherweight title.
Both boxers
started fast and each had their success in the
first round, but it was Siew who first made his
mark in round two where he clearly started to
hurt
Nanthaekkaphong
with
body-shots.
Siew scored
one knock-down with a body-shot, where
Nanthaekkaphong
beat the
count, but when the Malaysian floored his foe
with a second hard shot to the body, it was all
over. Official time 1:50 of round two.

It was composed
and impressive from Siew, who takes his
professional record to 4-0 (3).
Nanthaekkaphong,
a winner of
three of his last four, falls to 13-11 (9).

In the second
UBO title fight of the card, Saudi Arabia´s
Mohammed Nawef Chahlal took on Natthawat
Aiemsuebnum for the vacant UBO Continental
(Asia) title at Super Featherweight.
Chahlal, who
won the Thailand national title at Super
Lightweight in his most recent outing, put on a
dominating performance and showed his big
potential, winning every round
on his way to
a land-slide unanimous decision.
In round four
Chahlal managed to score a knock-down, but
Aiemsuebnum was as game as they come,
beat the count
of referee Somchai Tongin, and did his best to
fight back.

who remains undefeated at 6-0 (5).
Aiemsuebnum
drops to 5-2-1
(3).
The show was
promoted by Manop Iamthuam in association with
Tunal Academy.
