This one was never going the distance! Two undefeated punchers clashing for the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Heavyweight title, it was bound to end early.

And when the smoke cleared, Antonio Carlesimo emerged as the new champion, winning the vacant title with victory over Poland's Marcin Brzeski on Saturday, May 10, in Rome, Italy.

With an impressive third round stoppage, the 29-year-old home-man improved his professional record to 9-0 (8), Brzeski is now 10-1 (8).

Both men came out with intentions to hurt in a fast-paced and even first round, throwing hard shots and trying to take control.

The second was another competitive round, with Brzeski starting strong by landing solid punches, and Carlesimo finishing well and putting his foe in some trouble at the end of the stanza.

Brzeski appeared slightly tired as round three began, but it looked like another even round until Carlesimo forced him to take a knee him with a couple of body-shots midway through.

The Pole beat the count, but was quickly hurt by another body-shot, and when Carlesimo went for the finish and landed hard punches to the head, making Brzeski turn away, the referee stepped in and waved it off.

Also on the card promoted by Buccioni Boxing Team, UBO Continental (Europe) Welterweight champion Jonny Zeze won a decision over journeyman Ghenadie Gitlan in a non-title bout.
