PRESS OFFICER.
Undefeated Bosnian
cruiserweight Goran Delic recently vacated his UBO
Intercontinental title in favour of challenging for the
vacant Universal Boxing Organization world crown. On
December 14 at the Hala Borik in Banja Luka (Bosnia &
Herzegovina) Delic produced a very impressive
performance in dismantling Spanish co-challenger David
Blanco in front of more than 4000 spectators.
After twelve entertaining
rounds, judges Ernst Salzgeber of Austria and
Zdravko Milojevic (B & H) scored the contest 118-112,
while scoring referee
Sreten
Jabucanin from Serbia had it 120-110, all in favour of
the local hero, who can now boast an unblemished
record of 8-0.
Reports from Banja Luka
suggests that the new champion could already be
defending his world title in March 2008.
UBO supervisor of the bout
was Willibald Palatin from Austria, in cooperation with
the Serbian Professional Boxing Federation.
On the photo below Delic is
sorrounded by, among others, Serbian prime minister Mr.
Milorad Dodik.
