Hungarian
veteran Laszlo Hubert won the vacant UBO European Cruiserweight title on
Wednesday September 1, when he beat countryman Zoltan Somlosi in convincing
fashion at the City Hall in Sturovo, Slovakia.
After one
minute and ten seconds of the second round referee Tibor Roman stopped the bout
in favor of Hubert, awarding the 35-year old a technical knockout victory over
his fourteen years younger opponent.

Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Middleweight champion Francis “SMG” Cheka
will make the third defense of his title on September 11, when he takes on
Ugandan Med Sebyala at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro, Tanzania.
The fight was announced at a press conference held by Zumo Makame,
the managing director of Best Man Promotions.

The risk of
terror attacks has forced police in Ugandan capital Kampala to cancel all major
events in the city indefinitely, including the August 28 UBO World Super
Flyweight title fight between local hero Mudde Ntambi Rabison and Juma Fundi of
Tanzania.
Sweden-based
promoter Eddie Bazira (Pictured) is now looking for a new date for the
show that was set to go ahead at the Hotel Africana.

Mudde Ntambi
Rabison will fight newly crowned UBO International Flyweight champion Juma Fundi
for the UBO World Super Flyweight title on August 28 at the Hotel Africana in
Kampala, Uganda. The bout will headline a show promoted by 2007 UBO Promoter of
the year Eddie Bazira and his Baltic Pro Box Promotions.
25-year-old Ntambi Rabison made his professional debut in 2005 and has since
compiled an impressive record of 15-1-1 with six knockouts. Fundi, two years
younger at 23, had his first paid fight in 2007 and spots a 13-4 ledger, with
seven victories inside the distance.
